| Pupils will develop the ability to use the computer to record results and also draw simple graphs. This will allow the children to see that computers can be used in a number of differt ways and will also allow them to become more confident in ICT. |

| Assessment focusses on how well the children complete the tasks, their ability to use the computer software and also their ability to discuss what they have done. |

| Students, prior to this lesson, must have knowledge of weather. They must also have observed and recorded the weather over a two week period and then placed their results in the weather charts provided. Once the data has been collected and only then can this lesson be carried out. |

| Children by the end of this lesson and the lessons prior to this should have developed confidence in using ICT to record information and also developed knowledge in the different types of weather, the symbols used to record these all of which will be the base of knowledge later developed in Key Stage 2 in relation to weather reports |
