DescriptionWhen helping a pupil build up their keyboarding skills, look for the fast words where all the letters are near each other ( was, saw, as, were, there, look, pool, milk etc etc). The other idea is to work on word patterns, i.e. 'all' 'ill', 'ing'
Encourage the pupil to type in the word followed by the space bar and say the word to themselves. Maybe they could enter it three times or until they get fed-up!
It really works.
I also talk about the top middle and bottom line of letters and r and t are Right at the Top and v and b at the Very Bottom.
It can help speed up entering text as the pupil can enter their fast words without a thought.
